The Fein sander is highly recommended for removing cast of either plaster or fiberglass.

Some comments collected on the OAG Message Board: "The device you want is the MSXE 636-2HL, it's called a detail sander or an orbital sander. The 2.5" wheels from Grogans definitely work with it, if you use fibre it's worth paying a bit more for the synthetic cast cutter, otherwise the plaster cutter is fine. I don't know if the 2" wheels work, the body of the tool might foul on whatever it is you are cutting." -- UK Caster "The blades I have gotten from Grogan's have worked wonderfully in the Fein sander. I use the plaster blade (which also cuts fiber very well) I think it costs either 7 or 11 dollars. I got Carapace plaster bandages and other supplies for an slwc and arm cast.
